André has 29yrs broad land condition and construction industry experience, deriving initially from 13yrs consultancy work at Scott Wilson, mostly specialising in Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental engineering, but also civil/structural engineering. After a further 11yrs with ground investigation contractor/consultant Structural Soils Ltd building up their Geoenvironmental team, he then spent 6yrs heading up the ground engineering team for Clarkebond in Bristol (Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental). For the 13 months to June 2020, he then worked at Delta-Simons Environmental Consultants Ltd, where he opened and managed their new SW office. Having been project director for 7yrs on the ground engineering aspects of contracts such as a £37M open-cast coal mine redevelopment, a 2000 unit residential site and a £80M mixed use redevelopment, he has now set up his own consultancy, “AG Geo-Consultants Ltd”. He continues to specialise in direct client assistance with demanding Geoenvironmental land condition issues involving various contaminants and land uses. He also can assist with Geotechnical risks such as weak or variable ground, mining, etc. Capabilities include: pre-purchase due-diligence and early identification of potential ground risks and solutions to such; ground investigation design, costing and management; human health and groundwater risk assessments; design of remediation and risk reduction measures, their implementation, and validation; “Qualified Person” waste assessments (CL:AIRE DoWCoP) and producing Material Management Plans (MMP); full planning application assistance (regulator liaison and negotiation to secure planning conditions sign-off); expert witness work.
